During December, our readers continued to shop for the holidays and for their babes. Here’s what was popular with our audience in December 2022!
1) Little Biomes Gentlest Baby Shampoo and Body Wash: Our #1 selling product on Amazon in December. Thank you for helping make this organic baby shampoo such a success!
2) Honey Sticks Beeswax Crayons: These are truly such a great Christmas gift and overall item for your little ones. (See more crayon picks on our guide to non-toxic crayons.)
3) Ten Tiny Toes by Caroline Jayne Church: While everyone was shopping for baby gifts, our guide to the best baby books got a lot of traffic in December. So it’s no surprise to see one of my all-time favorite baby books back on our top-sellers list.
4) Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See by Eric Carle: Love this book and it is also a great stocking stuffer for babies.
5) Munchkin Cool Cat Straw Cup: Always a top pick for introducing a straw bottle to your little one!
6) Honest Fragrance-Free Baby Shampoo: Our guide to baby shampoos was super popular in December, and so it’s no surprise to see a few shampoo picks on this list. This is a surprisingly good choice for a fragrance-free shampoo.
7) Honest Company Dry Wipes: A very versatile option for non-toxic baby wipes, these dry wipes from Honest Co. are made with 100% organic cotton. Just add water.
8) Biomeology Prenatal Vitamins: Our prenatal vitamins have gotten really popular lately and were #8 on the site in December!
9) Comotomo Baby Teether: I love this teething toy (it’s on our list of non-toxic teethers) and have used it with my youngest. It has a great shape and is easy for little hands to hold.
10) Dr. Bronner’s Baby Unscented Castile Soap: This is the only Castile soap I use because it’s far less drying than other scents. The Baby Unscented version contains more olive oil than other scents so it’s gentler on your skin (and baby’s).
11) HABA Wooden Clutching Toy: A terrific non-toxic toy and also a great stocking stuffer!
12) Biomeology Infant Probiotics: A great pick for your baby’s probiotics. Happy to see it make the top 20 list in December!
13) NoseFrida Saline Spray: Such a great and simple product. This works great when you have a congested baby. (Hint: humidifiers and nasal aspirators also help).
14) Calmies Teething Toy: A great rubber teething toy!
15) Hape Pound & Tap Bench: This is a great toy — I remember my oldest received this as a first birthday gift. Just note that the balls are pretty heavy so it does require some supervision if giving this to a baby or young toddler.
16) Caaocho Rubber Whale Toy: There are so many times this product has come this close to making our top 20 list and I’m glad to see it finally has! This whale is so cute and perfect for bathtime play. See our guide to non-toxic bath toys for more inspiration.
17) Earth Mama Sunscreen: My favorite sunscreen and our top pick on our guide to non-toxic baby sunscreens, Earth Mama was a popular pick in December. It’s not only for summertime — snow is a reflective surface so it’s smart to practice safe sun exposure in the winter, too.
18) Green Goo Baby Balm Salve: This soothing baby balm is great for diaper rash and even skin flare-ups.
19) Serenity Kids Sweet Potato Pouch: One of the brands featured on our guide to organic baby food pouches, Serenity Kids also made the list of our Amazon best sellers in December. These are great for traveling with a baby because they don’t need refrigeration.
20) Maty’s Multipurpose Baby Ointment: An all-around great baby care product to have. Love Maty’s!
And here’s what our readers were loving off of Amazon:
- Kudos Diapers — one of the top picks on our guide to the best non-toxic diapers
- Lily and River (see our guide to the best Pikler triangles)
- ECOS Paints, a company that makes baby and pregnancy-safe paint
- Bobbie Baby Formula — a popular choice with my readers (read our Bobbie formula review)
